Story Mountain at Fane Street
After one of my workshops, P6 and P7 students at Fane Street Primary School produced a whole wall of monsters. A process of drafting and redrafting went into some of the creatures and it was very interesting to see.
P6 also like to write. Their teacher uses something called a 'Story Mountain' to guide his students through the construction of their creative writing projects. It's a line that climbs from 'setting' and up through 'character.' It peaks at 'climax' before ascending again to 'conclusion.' It's an excellent guide, I might try it myself.
Thank you to everyone I meet at Fane Street Primary.

New Monsters of the Deep
I had a lot of visitors lately. P7 and P6 from Donegall Road Primary School came to to Queen's University and I gave them a class in True Monsters of the Deep. Then they created some monsters of their own. Here are P7's creations. P6's will follow shortly.
